I think I’m going to stick with using short and long-form posts on my main blog, and will keep tinkering with this second blog. Maybe it could become a photos blog, or a link-sharing site. But I thrive when I’m kissing – “keep it simple stupid-ing”. Having to post to multiple blogs could be distracting for me. Or, who knows, could be great. Will have to keep experimenting.
This microblog is a space for short-form, informal posts. Check out my main blog for essays, poetry, and other writings.
You can now post to multiple blogs directly from Obsidian (like this post you're reading now) through the recent Pagecord plugin update. This feature was requested of and worked up by Olly Headey today! So cool to already see it in action!
Still working out how I would like to use this sub-blog. I am thinking of something similar to what Steph Ango talks about in his essay, "If you're remote, ramble". A kind of workshopping of ideas, all in untitled posts. Could be a way to get past writer's constipation, a.k.a writer's block. Never heard it referred to as constipation, but feels weirdly accurate. ¯\(ツ)/¯
Working on a long post for my main blog that might take an even while longer due to the topic. It's about epistemology – the philosophy of knowing. It will be called "Two ways of knowing," and will be about an informational left-brained way of taking in information, and a poetic/intuitive right-brained way of processing experiences. I believe this is quite an important topic, so it sits in the background, like an unchecked off task in my mind. I want to tackle it, but it feels daunting. Will try and make some progress on that this weekend.
Testing out Pagecord's multiblog feature. Seeing if I would be able to use this site as a microblog – just short posts and updates separate from my longer, more traditional blog. Grateful for Olly's development philosophy with Pagecord. He's the real deal.
Could relate a lot to this poem "Bags" (see full poem at link) by Brian Bilston (@brianbilston.bsky.social) cleaning the garage yesterday.
you had bags of bags
in your bags
you kept more bags...
Those grocery store bags are good for storing grocery store bags. Brian knows.
